Making that first step towards therapy and counselling can be difficult or even daunting. You may have been considering starting therapy for some time, or a recent event or accumulation of events have left you feeling overwhelmed.

Counselling and Psychotherapy offers a safe, and confidential space to support you to make the changes that are holding you back and causing you distress.

My training and therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing upon a number of frameworks to provide the appropriate support for each client’s unique, personal experience. I work with your current story in the present, and, at the same time pay attention to the influences of the past.

I work with various presenting issues which may be long-standing, or the result of a current event or crisis. Current-day pace of life and challenges can be extremely stressful, and anxiety-provoking, making it hard to cope and function.

This has never been more so with the additional stresses and pressures in the current pandemic.

You might feel that something is holding you back, although you don’t know what or understand why. You may know what you want to work on in therapy before you start.

Therapy can help you to explore and work through these thoughts in a safe, confidential environment.

I appreciate that it takes a lot of courage to take that first step into therapy.
