How I work

I have supported clients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, complicated grief, coping with loss, trauma, problems from childhood, neurodiversity, personality disorders, identity, lack of self esteem, search for meaning in life and work related stress and anxiety.

Anxiety and Depression

Feeling anxious or depressed can be a starting point for deciding to start therapy. You might not know the reasons for this but recognise there is something that you want to change and is holding you back. Anxiety and depression may occur suddenly triggered by a life event, or you may have suffered for years or even as for as long as you remember. Therapy will give you a safe, supportive and confidential space to talk through what is happening for you. You can talk about what is troubling you at your own pace and we will work together to explore and understand what is happening and help you to make the changes you want to make.

Working with Loss

Loss is often thought of mainly in terms of bereavement and the loss of loved ones. However, working with grief and loss is much more complex and nuanced. The loss of a relationship, job or career, sense of self, meaning in life or personal identity may cause you distress and lead you to consider therapy.

Work Related Stress and Anxiety

Work is for many a large part of our identity and who we are. When this is challenged, not moving in the direction you want or is disrupted it can be extremely stressful. Pressures can be fear of losing our job, redundancy, being overlooked, fear of speaking up, being bullied or harassed. While coping with constant change is familiar to most of us in the workplace, you may feel overwhelmed by the demands placed on you as a result of the current pandemic.
